Your baby is not heavy enough to put enough pressure on your lower back or give you shooting pains down your leg this early on. Sciatica usually starts when your baby is heavy enough to apply pressure on your sciatic nerve causing the shooting pain in your lower back or the sides of your legs. If you baby favors laying on the left side, and if there is enough pressure on the sciatic nerve, you will then feel that pain.
If anything check with your Dr. He will give you better details as to what you may be feeling right now.
