I have been having sciatica pains for about a month but just got diagnosed about a week ago and have been taking prednisone to help, but i still get pain. I have been trying to stay away from activity because i thought it would make it hurt more, but i feel like im getting out of shape and i was wondering if working out would really make it worse. I am a dancer, so would stretching hurt it more or no? what kinds of things are okay to do with sciatica? and is sciatica totally curable or will i have this pain forever?

I’ve joined the air force, but didn’t tell my recruiter that I have sciatica problems cause I don’t want it to hold me back. I’ve tried acupuncture, steroids, and physical therapy. It’s just gotten worse. I’m 21 and very active. The problem is, I’ve been running getting ready for boot camp but I know that running doesn’t help. How could I get rid of the pain? I have sciatica problems. All my doctor is doing for it right now is muscle relaxers and we’re going to start some physical therapy soon.
I have new pain in the top part of my thighs. I’m used to my butt and legs hurting, but not this part of my thighs. Can that be a result from the sciatica?
